FAQ

What type of service do you provide?

Compass Transportation specializes in two different forms of transportation:

  • Charter: Group transportation for a personal or private event
  • Contract: Employee shuttles to and from work

What is your cancellation policy?

Once a formal booking has been arranged and contract has been signed, cancellation fees are as follows: If the bus is cancelled at least 2 days prior to the service date, a 25% charge is applied. If the bus is cancelled 1 day prior to the service date, a 50% charge is applied. If the bus is cancelled on the same day of service, 100% of the charge will apply. This policy is non-negotiable.

What is your payment policy?

Compass Transportation accepts 3 different methods of payment:

  • Checks in full, at least three days before the service date
  • All major credit cards
  • Direct billing (with approved application)

Failure to pay via one of these three methods may lead to cancellation of bus.

What possible charges might be added on after service is complete?

Possible additional charges might include overtime fees and cleaning fees.

What are dead head fees?

Dead head fees are additional client costs, calculated per mile, that apply when the pick up, drop off location, or service area is not within 25 miles of the bus company. Dead head fees also apply for charters where the mileage fee is greater than the hourly fees. If you have questions about Compass Transportation’s dead head fees, please call our office at 650-246-2734.
